Scotland County Humane Society

The Scotland County Humane Society saves the lives of lost, abandoned, and abused animals. The cats and dogs enjoy a safe place to stay until they're adopted. Carolina Animal Rescue & Adoption

Better known as CARA,  this rescue is "where pets become family." The volunteers teach responsible pet ownership through education. They also offer shelter to cats and dogs until they find loving homes. A no-kill facility, CARA has helped thousands of animals since 2003. Donations are accepted online or by mail. No amount is too small. The money goes toward things such as food, insurance, and medical care.

Fayetteville Animal Protection Society

The Fayetteville Animal Protection Society encourages people to adopt a lifetime of love. Every year, its volunteers save hundreds of animals. There's never a time limit. The pets come in all breeds and range in age, from puppies and kittens to seniors. To help, consider making an online donation. You can also shop from the society's Amazon Wish List. Needed items include feeding mats, printer paper, and treat toys. Your order will ship to the Protection Society.
